MDLR approached The Forward as they wanted to document and showcase their collaborative project
with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Central Operations); the turn-key modular development,
construction and delivery of a state-of-the-art health facility in the far north South Australian town of Marree.
This was going to be a massive project taking place over the course of 12 months.

our process
We got stuck into our creative process and developed mood boards and scripts to suit MDLR’s business model
of utilising advances and emerging construction methods
to solve old problems.
It was agreed across the board that this wasn’t going
to be your stereotypical ‘corporate’ promotional video,
but a story that captures the essence of what this building will bring to Marree and the transformation of outback health.
This led to us to determine the heart of this project:
the people of Marree.
Content was captured across multiple MDLR site visits in Adelaide, throughout the 7-hour multi-truck convoy
up to Marree, the construction in Marree itself,
right up to the grand opening ceremony.
We interviewed local personalities to represent the heart and soul of Marree.
outcomes
The video was received well by everyone. MDLR can present their work in a dynamic and captivating style, promoting services to potential clients and further outback towns.
The people of Marree even had a special screening in their cinema house to mark the occasion!
